Student Government Association and university officials agreed today to make an amendment about a proposed fee that Board of Regents members were to vote on at their Friday meeting, said Student Regent Reagan Gilley.
The amendment would eliminate an item in the meeting’s agenda that calls for a $30 fee in addition to tuition for every credit hour students take exceeding 15 hours.

Western’s softball team gave up both games tonight at the WKU Softball Complex. The Lady Toppers fell to Florida Atlantic 4-2 in game one and 11-5 in game two. In game two, Western was led offensively by senior second baseman Terri Ellingsworth going 2-2 hitting two home runs and batting in four base runners.

Men’s basketball coach Ken McDonald announced Wednesday that both guard Terrence Boyd and forward David Laury have signed their National Letter of Intent to play at Western.

Danville junior Kevin Smiley was elected president of the Student Government Association with 894 votes. The results were announced at about 12:14 a.m. Thursday. His opponent Kayla Shelton, a junior from Gallatin, Tenn., got 673 votes.
Elizabethtown senior Kendrick Bryan was elected executive vice president with 847 votes.
