‘Lost Boy’ has found happiness

Gabriel Akech Kwai uses his journey from Sudan to Kentucky to help and inspire friends in both places.

Kwai, a Louisville resident, was born in 1979 in Bor, Sudan, which is in the southern part of the country, he said.

He and his family lived in Bor until he was seven years old, when murmurs began about a civil war about to erupt in Sudan, Kwai said.

Kelly Autism Program expands to Owensboro

People with autism now have another resource which may save a trip to Bowling Green.

The Kelly Autism Program has expanded to Owensboro, according to a Western press release.

KAP-O opened on March 17 at Wendell Foster’s Campus for Developmental Disabilities in Owensboro, KAP Director Marty Boman said.

Annual Book Fest offers variety

The voice of Elmo will be heard in Bowling Green on Saturday.

But instead of asking to be tickled, it will be answering questions.

More than 150 authors will speak at this year’s Southern Kentucky Book Fest on Saturday at the Sloan Convention Center, according to a Western press release.
