Murfreesboro, Tenn., quartet Imaginary Baseball League will headline an indie-pop rock showcase of sorts at Spencer’s Coffeehouse tomorrow night before heading north for a gig in Dayton, Ohio. Lead singer Aaron Robinson said the band is pumped about the show.

In spite of several bloody noses and bruised egos, most of the fighting ended with affectionate signs of respect among the 24 men who gave and took a beating Thursday night. The crowd of supporters that showed up for the first-ever Battle of the Greeks, on the other hand, had some choice words for the judges and outcomes of the event, which was sponsored by Sigma Chi fraternity and cost an estimated $4,500.

Having no idea the night would introduce them to one of the biggest local music acts since Nappy Roots, Bryan Stuart, 22, of Lafayette, Ind., and William “Weejy” Rogers, 21, of Clarksdale, Miss., found Perfect Confusion last September at a local bar they visited in an attempt to meet people in Bowling Green.
