Graduation parties or Derby festivities: a senior’s struggle

Kansas City native Anthony Gerstner is graduating next Friday.

His parents are coming from Chicago to watch him walk the line and receive a piece of paper, commencing his stay at Western.

And he said he’s ready for some graduation parties.

Four-year Herald reporter says goodbye, looks to future

I have no profound last words, but I’m graduating. I’m done. I won’t be here in August for the first time in four years, and I’m in a worrisome state about spending fall in another city.

Western has been good to me. You should have known me when I was a freshman.

Jail: Been there, done that, not going again

For my Features Writing class last semester, I wrote an article about what it’s like to go to jail, but I never published it. I got an A, but I didn’t like how it was written, so I held onto it. I rewrote it, and now it’s done.

With that said, I’m writing this commentary to tell you my story, to explain why I felt it was necessary to write a story about going to jail.
