Goodrum, Soules to have separate trials, judge says

The two Scottsville men accused of committing murder together will have separate trials. Judge Tom Lewis granted a motion to separately try the two men charged in the murder of Pellville freshman Melissa “Katie” Autry during a pretrial conference yesterday in Warren Circuit Court.

Former employee appeals suit

Oral arguments were heard in the appellate case concerning a lawsuit filed by a former Western employee against the university on April 24 in Elizabethtown.

Robert Dye is appealing a jury ruling in March 2001, which found that Western did not discriminate against him when he was fired in 1997.
