With the coaching search nearly two weeks in, the interview process to find the next coach of Western’s football team has begun.
A plane registered to the Commonwealth of Kentucky landed at the Warren County Regional Airport in Bowling Green Saturday night at 6:05 p.m. CT carrying Arkansas offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Paul Petrino.
Petrino was picked up by Alex Downing, President of the College Heights Foundation and was the only passenger that joined Downing in the car.
Petrino and Downing declined to comment.
Petrino is in his second season at Arkansas alongside older brother and head coach of the Razorbacks, Bobby Petrino. The two previously coached at Louisville and then for one season with the Atlanta Falcons.
Petrino, a graduate of Carrol College in his hometown of Helena, Mont., has 18 years of college coaching experience.
