Deltas, Alphas win Step Show

Delta Sigma Theta sorority and Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity won the National Pan-Hellenic Council Step Show tonight.

Both organizations also won last year.

Judge Deanna Coles, a Zeta Phi Beta alum, said both groups were chosen for the execution of their steps and their stage presence.

President of the Alphas, Marcus Steele, said this was his first year as step master and the win meant a lot.

Steele, a junior from Nashville, Tenn., said the Alphas won’t have much time to celebrate tonight because they have to work the doors at two parties.

“The work of an Alpha never stops,” he said.

Kelli White, a Delta, said the win felt amazing.

“We stepped even better than last year,” said the senior from Evansville, Ind. “We did what we had to do and did it well.”
