Shots were fired outside of Pearce-Ford Tower early this morning, according to campus police.
Campus police responded to a report of shots fired at about 3 a.m. Saturday morning, according to a Western press release.
According to the press release, a witness reported that a male got out of a vehicle in the PFT parking lot, fired a gun, returned to the vehicle and left.
Police found shell casings in the area, but no evidence of damage, according to the release.
No one was hurt, and all dorms went into lock down after the incident, said Phyllis Skees, communication officer with campus police. That means no one was allowed to go in or out of the dorm buildings, she said.
Caleb Shera, a PFT resident said he was going outside to smoke when he saw people running back into the building.
“There were some people running everywhere,” he said. “We were told to go to our rooms,” by the resident assistants.
A representative from Housing and Residence Life wasn’t available for comment on Saturday afternoon.
A Hall Director at PFT declined to comment on the incident.
Skees said a crime report was filed, but will not be available until Monday.
No arrests have been made, but the investigation is continuing, according to a Western press release.
EMS didn’t respond to the incident, according to a representative from the Bowling Green Medical Center.
