The German Club wishes to recognize Dr. Linda Pickle. Last Saturday in Louisville she was honored by her peers in the Kentucky World Language Association with the 2005 Lifetime Achievement Award. During her short time here at Western Kentucky University she has worked to further language education at both the high school and college level through her support of programs and various methods of professional development for teachers, which in turn trickles down to better a better education for the students.

We hope Dr. Pickle continues to enrich the lives of students and teachers in this manner during her final year at Western, and also extend the hope that she learns just as much from her students. She is very deserving of this award and our thanks go out to her for sharing her knowledge.
