With the addition of several freshman residence halls on campus events held at Western are slowly decreasing in size. Sitting in the lobby around homecoming I always hear several freshman ask about the dance afterwards. What dance? Western has no official dance. Sure soroities and fraternities do but not just for the average jane like me who wants to ‘drop it like it’s hot.’ There is no homecoming dance, no winter formal, no prom. Oh no, but wait, I hear times are changing.
The first annual WKU dance will be April 27th up in the Garrett Ballroom from 8 to 11 pm. Yeah, it’s a Wednesday but we say that because Friday can’t handle all of this. Or it’s because all of the Fridays were booked. Still, it will be awesome! Tickets are only five dollars which is a great price considering atleast 500 people are going to be there. So end the school year right. If you want tickets you can e-mail rha@wku.edu.
