Campus to offer fire saftey tips


tudents, faculty and staff will get two chances to learn more about fire safety and prevention.

Fire Prevention Awareness Days will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. today and tomorrow on DUC North Lawn.

Guests will have the opportunity to tour a fire truck and will be able to learn how to use a fire extinguisher, among other activities. Firefighters will also demonstrate how to escape a smoke-filled environment.

Western staff will show guests how fire alarms and smoke detectors work.

The event is a collaboration between the environmental health and safety department and the Bowling Green Fire Department.
